Unlike plowing and the other field activities we forced on horses (harrowing, seeding, and cultivating/weeding), the carroza's utility justifies the cost of keeping horses. Being able to use the carroza justified the fieldwork we continued to do with the horses after the first year. Unfortunately, the carroza itself is more expensive than the horses and all our other equipment combined. We are still in the process of figuring out how to responsibly transfer it to the community, or to some individual member of the community.
