Lining up at the kitchen for lunch.

Since its inception, the only regular assistance the internado has received from outside has come from an organization called Tréveris, which is sponsored by a Catholic diocese (by the same name) in Germany. Tréveris offers organizational support, and (just last year) managed to provide the internado with its first real beds. It's most important contribution, however, has been in food. The staples it brings in compliment the corn, vegetables, and other crops, that the internado (on its own or through the help of the four communities) provides for itself.

Meals are prepared in this little building over an open fire. It's a pretty rustic setup, but the food is great.

Note: After a long search with several disappointments, MCC has finally identified a "volunteer" couple willing to live in Yaguapüa. They will be serving the community as a whole, but will live at the internado and direct most of their energies towards providing support there.
