Nothing related to animal traction provoked more initial scepticism, or more eventual admiration, than the disk harrow.

It was a lot of work for the horses (you can see how fiercely Pochi is sweating in this picture, even though it was only seven in the morning, and relatively cool). It was pleasant working with both horses at once in other chores, like plowing, but harrowing was the only agricultural work where it was really necessary.
