The most successful --perhaps the only really successful aspect of the horse traction program in Imi, was transportation with the wagon (carroza, in Spanish). Here, Don Cruz and the horses are delivering 1500 pounds of freshly harvested corn from the common fields, 5km up in the mountains, to the road and to market. In all, they moved moved some 45 tons. Two years previously, we'd carried it all out on our backs.
